    First off - GREAT WORK. We are running WP 2.7.1 and WPLD 1.7.3 Pro. From the frontend you can't add any links (when you try you get an email but no link shows up in the backend). From the backend when you attempt to save, nothing does. Looking forward to future releases to these bug fixes. We have tried several other plugins, but like the direction yours is headed in. Keep up the good work!

    running 2.7

    on the add url page, how do I increase the width of the drop down box in which the categories are listed? My category names are quite long and hence cut cut off by the width of the drop down box so I need to make it wider.

    hope someone can help, many thanks.

    Hi Sean this plug-in is awesome. Thanks for your kind Plugin. earlier I was failed when I used it in on pages. At once, I used it on post page and its working! I have installed on it http://dmoz.org.in. and once again thank you very much!

    Hi,
    Using wp 2.7.1
    Plugin v 1.8.2

    Installed ok.
    permalinks structure: /%postname%
    I read the forum so added the directory via a post as advised.
    No error messages.

    | Add URL | Link To Us | Search | Premium

    The links go to eg: http://mydomain.com/links/addsite etc. but all pages just look like the home page- nothing different shows so you can add a link etc.

    Also: I can add categories, but the links I have manually added do not show onsite under the categories.

    Any advice please or do you do any paid work to help me get this working?

    PPS. Cant give url as site is in sandbox mode right now.

    ‘The URL you supplied doesn’t seem to be valid’

    I'm having the same problem as tiameg, namely the add url | link to us etc. links don't work. I have the same configuration (WP 2.7.1.) I noticed something that may help fix the problem. When I go to http://www.seanbluestone.com/links and point to, say, the add url link, the status bar of my browser shows http://www.seanbluestone.com/links?act=addsite. However, on my site when I point to the link it is missing the "?act=addsite" characters. If I knew php maybe I could edit the plugin to fix this, but I don't. But Sean does, right?

    Hi Sean,

    great plugin, no doubt, and from my point of view almost perfect.

    I just miss one very important thing: The page title (<title>-tag in head) of every link-page should reflect the link name. Right now, every page of the directory has the same title, which has some bad impact regarding SEO.

    Any chance to pay you for an improvement regarding the page titles? Pls let me know by mail if you are interested, or if you know how to fix this.

    Hi, thanks for the plugin; is it possible to edit WPLD in a way that allows the user on the add link page to submit a link (same link) to more than one category without having to keep going through the process per category?

    Unfortunately this plugin is of NO use since it does not work with permalinks on. I spend a day trying to figure out how to make it work, I even made some changes to the script but at the end I decided to quit.

    I understand that the developer spent a lot of time into this plugin and I have no complains since it is free. But if you're looking for a directory plugin for WP look elsewhere.

    I am using WP version 2.7.1 and WPLD version 1.8.2.
    First, thanks for this great free software.
    When I am activating Securimage under CAPTCHA the function when adding an URL looks ok, but as soon as you push add links, I get the following message; (However the link is added and can be approved under admin).
    Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /var/www/jagtlinks.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/all_in_one_seo_pack.php:633) in /var/www/jagtlinks.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-link-directory/securimage.php on line 422

    When I am activating Captchas.net – I get like 6 or 7 error message like the one, but in linie 52, 53, 54, 55 and 56.

    Hi

    I am using WordPress 2.7.1 WordPress Link Directory 1.8.2

    Catagories get added and display in links index page..but all option links go to blank pages ?

    Link To us / search / add url / catagory pages

    The correct url is displayed in browser window ..but page reamins the same as links index with catagories displayed.

    I think Sean may be MIA. Does he ever respond to anyone posting in this forum? It is a great plug-in, but it needs a few updates to be done to it to fix the bugs. I might try to look into the code and fix a few things (I am a serious novice with this type of work though). If anyone else wants to help, feel free to email me at dailybloglist@gmail.com!

    Hi Sean

    I am having the same trouble as Tucson Tom and Taimeg, the directory is installed with permalinks active, using 1.8.2 and WP 2.8.1-beta2

    My directory and link all display except the links from the links page have & instead of ? in the call to action. If I change the & to ? the url works BUT the funny part is the menu links then work correctly except if you go back the links home page.

    I hope this helps you work it out because it looks totally awesome on my site www.workfromhomemums-blog.com/links and I can't find anything better than your plugin.

    I have been trying to get the developer of the WP Link Directory to fix the plugin and I thought I would contact anyone here also having trouble to let you know I found a fellow who fixed it for me and to thank him I thought I would let other people in the same situation know about him. His name is Freddie Pena and his website is http://www.pmdresources.com

    He fixed mine in less than half an hour. And I am so pleased because I have already made sales from it. So if you are still looking for help with it check him out.

    Hi,

    Just installed your plugin 1.8.2 on a wordpress 2.8.2 and there sems to be a problem with subbmiting url.

    Whatever url im trying to submit it says it seems to be invalid.
    Could you help with that, please!!!!!

    Also permalinks for wordpress 2.8.2 dont function in 100%:

    im using your directory on a page and not as a post and after selecting a category on that that page with directory it can not find anything as im guessing its looking for a category among posts.

    Please help!!!!!

    Fir example, why premium? (paypal link no work) ...

    but on general is great plugin.

    Ok I know I just posted a bug, but I have just found another. Before I post the bug let me first say this plugin is very useful and overall is GREAT!

    For some reason the recip checker is not looking for the recip link? I tested 2 links and entered a recip URL but did not actually post a recip link. Link directory gave the standard response:

    "Your link (domain) will be checked by an admin for approval and added soon, thanks!"

    Should the plugin not check for a recip and give a response based on the recip link being placed or not?

    Premium doesn't connect to Paypal. Using WP 2.8.6, plugin version 1.8.2. Attempts at making permalink work have failed rather spectacularly.

    Hiya Sean!

    I hope you find the time to reply soon. I love the plugin it's features are great. My only problem is (like others have mentioned) the PayPal feature isn't working. When you click the paypal button it doesn't connect to PayPal at all, all links and directories disappear from view and the following "?id=&action=process" is appended to the end of the URL.

    Also for those of you that can't get it to work with the permalinks problem sending you to your home page etc, DON'T PLACE THE CODE ON A PAGE, pop it on a post and it works just fine and dandy!
